Today began with French and then we worked on our writing. We are concentrating on writing seed stories, rather than watermelon stories. Taking a little moment in our lives and making it into an interesting story. This seems to focus our writing and allows us to expand and describe certain moments, making it interesting for the audience to read what we are writing.
After recess Olivia, Cassie, Abbi, Sebastian, Matt and Ryan lead us in some great gym games for their gym assignment. They were very fun and got us all moving. Thank you kids!
Math was all about interpreting graphs and doing line graphs.
In Social Studies we learned about the different responsibilities each level of government has and today in computer we will be creating a Prezi to solidify this knowledge. The assignment will be posted on the assignments page later today. This will be done at school but it possible to do at home too because it is on the internet.
In media we talked about what can be inferred from advertising and how body image is tainted in most commercial/ads. The kids walked around the room to write positive things about each of the students in the class on an outline of a body. It was a positive experience and something all of us need to hear once in a while. Everyone in portable 402 is liked and wonderful with their own gifts and talents!
