Portable 402 : Day 57 - French test on Thursday, sign tests, math pg. 1-4

Today began with silent reading, which is something that we don't get much of a chance to do. Afterward we talked about connecting with our reading and how that is a strategy that good readers do in order to comprehend their reading.

We all had a chance to work on our writing. Tomorrow is the last day in class to do so and then the kids will type it up on Thursday and hand it in on Friday (published work).

Health was during third period and the kids worked on their healthy eating posters.

In math we took up the work that the kids had finished for homework and then they had a chance to get further ahead. by the end of tomorrow the students will be up to page 7 and we can continue on to more difficult work. This is the beginning stages of patterning, the basics that can't be ignored because it is a springboard to the next step in patterning.

The end of the day was the coolest art that I have done. It was also a great way for the kids to recognize familiar faces in Canadian politics....and make them have a BAD HAIR day. The art focus was of course lines.
