I'm just going to give the highlights tonight, because I've just had the pleasure of meeting everyone that came out to Meet the Teacher night! Thank you for taking the time to come out to see me and the environment that your kids are working in.
We started off learning about genres today and we even tried to decide what genre certain books from the library were. As we went along we added more genres to our list!
We continued our book Run for the rest of the period.
After recess we did music, trying to connect the notes on the Treble Clef staff to our instruments. This went well, but it was amazing how fast the period went. Some of the kids got to playing the song of choice today (Old MacDonald Had a Farm - a classic!) but other didn't so we will do more of the same during our next class.
French was during 4th period and the kids got into groups to do their "Three Little Pigs" plays. I'm not totally sure of the translation so if you can email that to me, you'll win a prize!! (ajwagner@mail1.scdsb.on.ca)
The rest of the day consisted of math (subtraction) and science (categorizing physical and chemical changes).
