Day 5 - Math page 36-38 (and 34 if you didn't do it before)

Happy Monday everyone! Sounds like there were some fun weekends!

Today began with French and then we talked about IPICK. That is an acronym to help the kids understand how they pick out books that they will use for either entertainment or research during the year.
If you can remember what IPICK stands for send me the information ajwagner@mail1.scdsb.on.ca.

After recess we had a full 2 periods for science. We are studying matter and the changes that can take place with matter. Matter is anything that takes up space and has mass. We learned what the different properties of matter are (size, shape, colour, and texture) and found out that all matter has molecules and atoms. Chemistry! Yay!

We did an experiment that we will try again tomorrow. This was to see if ice melts faster on a certain colour of paper.

After recess we had DPA where we played, Snap, Crackle, Pop.

Math ended the day and we used base ten blocks to represent different numbers. Jump math was used to solidify that information and there is a little bit of homework tonight, though many of the kids did get it done.

Have a nice evening!
