Day 7 - Math pg. 39-40

Today began with language. We are reading from the book "RUN" by Eric Walters for our read aloud.
We then introduced the writing project that we will be doing in the next couple of weeks. Terry Fox is such an inspiration to many and he is the focus of our writing for these weeks. Well, not really Terry but some of the objects that ran with him (the van, his shoes, his sock etc.)
Can't wait to see what the kids write from those different perspectives. Tomorrow we will watch some Terry Fox clips so that we understand his story better and are better able to tell his story through the eyes of those inanimate objects.

After recess we were introduced to Boomwhackers and we became familiar with the different colours and what note each one represents.

French was during 4th period and then after lunch (indoor recess) the skies cleared up and we went outside to play an outdoor game.
Math has us doing expanded form of large numbers.

Finally, we all got to try the science experiment that demonstrates that gas takes up room and fills any container that it is put in to.

So....do we want a contest? Can you remember the colours of each of the notes found on the Boomwhackers????

Let me know. ajwagner@mail1.scdsb.on.ca

See you tomorrow.
