During math, most of it was spent doing the test. We did learn about Dooley decimal too. He was just a simple period at the end of a sentence, but knew in his heart of hearts that he had more to give, more of a purpose. Well, when they decided that whole numbers could be split into smaller numbers, he rose to the occasion and became the divide between whole numbers and tenths, hundredths, thousandths etc.! Yay Dooley!
We will work with more decimals in the days to come.
Science was all about the production of plactic water bottles. The kids watched How its Made and discussed the lifecycle of a recyclable water bottle. The kids then debated whether water bottles that are reuseable or water bottles that were recycleable were better. They considered the social and environmental impacts! The debate got a little intense and some may have even had their minds changed!
