Day 45-46 - Wear Red, Black and White on Monday. Glow Sticks, Reading Responses

Today began with French and then it was on to Language.

The kids did "Grammar Thursday" work that we didn't get to on Thursday. We're learning about the changes that occur to the letter "y" when adding a suffix to a root word.

After recess we learned about going into detail with our writing and using clues instead of being blatant about our writing. Instead, for instance, of say. I ate breakfast. Write..."The toast popped up so high that I could almost catch it. I ate it on the run 'cause I was late for the BIG MEETING.
We practiced it and some of the kids were beginning to "get" it.

During fourth period we had the opportunity to practice our song for Remembrance Day in the gym with everyone else.

Reading buddies allowed us to have another practice because we performed it for the kindergarten class. At the end of the day we had Drama. This was a bit disappointing for Ms. Gilbert because only two groups were ready. Remember that you are responsible to get ALL of your work done, even for classes outside of our own.

Have a great weekend and we'll see you on Monday all dressed in Black, White and Red. Oh and don't forget to buy a Glow Stick for Monday!!!!!

If you'd like a Poppy, please bring a donation on Monday as well.

Have a nice weekend!
