Today began with "The Lightning Thief" and then on to inferring. There will be a test on inferring in the near future (Thursday) to wrap up this part of the language curriculum. We then took the skills that we learned there, we were able to create stories for our bank of stories. Our best stories will be chosen to write as good copies and handed in. This will begin next week.
Third period was dedicated to our Remembrance Day ceremony. The kids sang very well and it was a beautiful service to commemorate all those who fought for us.
During fourth and fifth the kids finished their double bar graphs. We will do a graphing test on Thursday. There will be a practice test on the blog tonight. Check it out there.
Don't forget that Reading Responses are different this week. I've put a template up for you to use if you'd like to type it out with the instructions. Please find newspaper articles that relate to either the municipal, provincial or federal government and that you UNDERSTAND. Summarize them using the template I've attached.
