Today began with French plays. I saw some very interesting costumes being worn!
For language we opened up with story telling. The kids got into groups of three and told stories, personal narratives, remembering to think about the emotions that they wanted to communicate to the listeners. For some, they just told. Others were able to get into story telling and create a wonderful narrative about a moment in their lives.
Then we got down to business. Writing our personal narratives. Some are having trouble finding things to write still, but I've been pleasantly surprised that the hesitant writers have been producing some excellent work.
In gym we had three fantastic games! Thanks to all who prepared for today's gym class!
Social Studies was all about our rights and responsibilities as citizens of Canada. The kids did some graffiti on the wall (on paper) that was about just that. They also made up icons to help them remember what some of our rights and responsibilities are.
We continued this a little after recess as well. Then it was on to math. The kids created a line graph as a job! This will earn them $10 (fake bucks), but for every missing component of their graph they will have to give up $1.
Lightning Theif ended our day!
Check out the Assignments page for a practice for the math test.
Also, only reading responses this week from those who are a little behind. Let's get everyone caught up!!
Have a nice Tuesday!
