Hello Everyone!
Today started with a supply teacher during French class.
The 2nd period was dedicated to our stories. Firstly, a few of the kids were allowed to read their personal narratives out loud. Please see Aidan's in the student work section (which I haven't taken advantage of this year!!). It is a great, and entertaining story that followed all of the rules. :D
Third was gym where we played some excellent, games.
During fourth we got to watch Percy Jackson and then again during 6th period.
Social Studies was during 5th period and we talked about some of the issues that a person might highlight in our city of Barrie if they were to run for mayor of the city. Then we brought it home to Algonquin Ridge. If they were to become a leader at this school, and had to campaign, what would some of the issues be in their minds and what would some of their promises to the student body be?
There were some great suggestions and I'm looking forward to the Campaign Brochures that they will do beginning tomorrow.
