Read-a-Thon! There's not much else to say! We're going to be reading machines this month and have asked that the kids all read for at least 15 minutes per night. Then the parents are asked to sign a calendar that was given to the kids on Monday, stating that they are accountable for that time.
If everyone reads for 15min/night we will reach our 11000 minute goal, but the way things are looking, we will far surpass that goal!!
We also began our reading workshop this a.m. This will be a daily language period focussed on stations for reading. We practised today and the kids did very well!
So...I think that is where I'll leave the day. Please ask your child (if this is a parent reading) how a person votes. What order they do things.
If this is a student reading, I'm in the mood for a contest.....hummmm....if you can be the first to email me the answer to the following math questions, using the strategy that we learned today, you will get a prize tomorrow.
