Day 109 -110 - Geometry Test on Monday, Book Talk Due Thursday, Persuasive Wednesday!

Hi,
Yes, I know, it seems that a lot is due this week, but we've had a blast doing them. The kids have really been thrilled with the books that they have chosen for their book talks, the persuasive writing is coming together, and the egg drop was fun on Friday (so much fun!). The kids were EXCITED and for this old girl, it was a little hard to take at times, but on the other hand fun to see them get so excited about learning!!

Here are a couple more links for studying for your math quiz on geometry.

Included will be:

Name the angle (obtuse, acute, reflex, right, straight etc.)
Measure the angle (using a protractor)
Name the type of triangle (using side measurements and angle measurements)

http://www.mathplayground.com/alienangles.html - this is a good one for estimating angles without having a protractor.

http://www.mathsisfun.com/angles.html - an angles quiz at the bottom of the page.

http://www.math-aids.com/Geometry/Angles/ - This is a worksheet creator, any other the first six sheets are good for studying what we did in class.

http://www.kwiznet.com/p/takeQuiz.php?ChapterID=1469&CurriculumID=4 - This is a link to a quiz about the different types of triangles.

http://www.mathsisfun.com/triangle.html - There are questions at the bottom of the page that will test your knowledge of the different types of triangles.

This is a different method that I've used for test prep in the past, but I hope the practice with the instant knowledge as to whether they are wrong or right will be helpful.

See you tomorrow.
