Today began well with language. We learned about making connections and utilized smell to make connections to something in our lives.
We talked about how making connections helps us to understand the text we are reading better. The connections we read shouldn't distract us, but should help us comprehend what is been read in the text.
Here is the Powerpoint that we used and on it there are prompts for writing about our connections.
Books are being gathered and we will be starting our Book Clubs soon. If anyone would like to use their e-reader instead of a book, please let me know and we can see if the book that is chosen is at the library for download.
Health took place during third period and the kids did their health skits.
In math the test was given.
After lunch we did DPA and then came in to talk about the digestive system using videos and labeling a diagram.
Please have your bookmark completed for tomorrow. Don't forget about those Science Projects too.
If you look on the sidebar, there will be some videos/projects that I have found online as ideas for models of the systems.
Contest: What is one prompt that you can use to write about the different connections that you can have to the text that you are reading? (text to text, text to world, text to self). Hint: look at your bookmarks!
