Welcome back everyone. It was definitely a beautiful weekend and a great time to be outside! Hope you all took advantage of it!
Today began with French and then on to literature circle prep. Our meetings are off this week because I wanted to give everyone a break over the holiday. Science was enough!!
We will be doing our meeting tomorrow so please come prepared.
In math we learned about putting a fraction into lowest terms. This proved to be tricky for most so we'll work on that once again tomorrow. Our test will be on Thursday as I mentioned.
We will also be having a little science fair in the classroom on Thursday so if anyone is interested in coming in to see the projects that the kids and their parents have worked on, you're welcome at that time. Please simply sign in at the office first before coming over to the portable.
Science projects were presented for the rest of the day. A special mention goes out to Zack who really taught us everything he found out instead of just reading it out to us. It was really interesting to listen to and obvious that he had learned a lot. Please remember when presenting that you are to show us what you know, not simply just to read your Glogster.
We are going to embark on a writing venture in the upcoming days that may require the kids to bring in an iPad, iPhone, iTouch, or any computerized device that can be connected to the internet. I will send home a notice, but please keep this in the back of your minds. Hewitt's Creek's grade five class uses their devices for writing all of the time and it is spectacular how their writing has improved and how hesitant writers are doing more! I'm game to try it!
I hope that you have a great Tuesday. Today went FAST!!!
