Day 10 - Math pp. 47-49

Today I am writing this in the middle of the day because I am off to an uncle's funeral. Mrs. Ryan came in for the afternoon and is well set up with the plans for the day.

French began the day then it was on to the rough copy of our Terry Fox stories. This assignment is up on the blog now (under the heading Assignments) and there are also a couple of examples from last year's crew to guide the student's thinking. The marking scheme is there as well.

Science had us reading about gases and we realized that force put on a gas will cause it to push back. A perfect example of that is in a bottle rocket propelled by CO2. This is the plan for tomorrow so the kids designed their bottles today! Stay tuned for some great video footage tomorrow.

After the designing began, the kids went out for DPA.

Math will finish off the day. We're talking about regrouping. Please do the homework so that you're ready for the test on Friday (study sheet will be up on the blog tomorrow).

Have a nice night.

Ms. Wagner
