Today was our day to stress Multiple Intelligences. If you can name at least 3 of them and email me first, you will win a prize tomorrow. ajwagner@mail1.scdsb.on.ca
We learned about the different MIs and even pinpointed how each of the kids have different "smarts"! Then we took a few of them and learned about apples in different ways.
The kids wrote raps, did research together, listened to the story of Johnny Appleseed, did a math problem about apples and then we introduced a science experiment, but won't get to it until tomorrow.
We covered half of the intelligences, tomorrow we'll do the other half!
It is neat to see the kids taking chances (like getting up to rap in front of the class) and to really recognize their own strengths in learning. I hope this all comes in handy throughout the year so that they realize that there isn't just one way to demonstrate what they know.
Please return any orange forms that do not have your last name on them. I unfortunately lumped all of the notices together and didn't realize that those ones were personalized.
Thanks for your help at getting those back to their rightful owners.
Have a nice night.
Ms. W
