Today began with French and the kids practiced their puppet plays.
During 2nd period we prepared our Reading Response Journals and got our schedules. In the assignments section of the blog you can see a sample letter to Ms. Wagner. We will practice these a bit more before the first students have to hand in their journals. The schedule is there as well.
Computer lab time was spent completing our Chain of Events for the How it's Made Movies that the kids chose to watch. This is due tomorrow. The movies have also been added to the blog as well as the Chain of Events template.
In gym we had a fun game of volleyball to end our volleyball unit.
5th period was spent doing Environmental and Social impact charts on the use of reusable vs. plastic grocery bags. This will be looked at tomorrow.
Then we had the pleasure of meeting Michael Wade, the author of the 11 books called "And then it Happened". He was very encouraging to the kids and told them how just a simple guy like him can be a writer! He actually used to be a prison guard and wrote because his librarian wife encouraged him to!
That's it for today. Have a lovely Tuesday!
