Today was a great start to the day for some! There were some excellent French quiz results!! Well done gang!
In language we did Reading Workshop and read Sea of Monsters. It is getting good.
In computers the kids finished up their Sochi Olympics assignment and they are moving on to a Zones assignment next week.
Zones was the focus of our fourth period. It was a good indicator of whether the students are understanding what each colour means.
In math we did more Area work. The kids are starting to really think through the relationship between perimeter and area. And nobody has written to me to tell me the formula for Area yet!! I'd love to give someone a treat! Email me if you've got it!
In science we watched a news report about the earthquake in Haiti in 2010. The kids will do a little research on a natural hazard on Monday.
